The Orchard
When we bought the house, there were a few fruit trees, mostly Reine Claude. Since then I have planted something like fifty trees including apples, pears, mulberries, apricots (although they don't seem to do well here), peaches, almond, fig, quinces, medlars, cherries, and plums of various sorts. There are also soft fruits: red, white, and black currants, raspberries, strawberries, and gooseberries.
The orchard is a picture in spring when all the fruit trees (and the dandylions!) are in flower.
If there is fruit in the garden then we are very happy for our guests to pick and use it. Of course if you make some jam we would love a sample ...
