Jams, Jellies, and Preserves

One of the La Grange jams
If you’ve seen the pictures of the orchard, or even better if you’ve seen the orchard itself, you may be wondering what we do with the fruit we grow. Well, here’s the answer! We make and sell jams and jellies - in small quantities, so it’s very exclusive! If you are visiting La Grange, you’ll find a selection of our produce for purchase, but even if you’re not and you’d like some, please get in touch. Our current list includes:

Confiture d’Abricots
Confiture de Cassis (blackcurrant)
Confiture de Cérises (cherry)
Confiture de Coings (quince)
Confiture de Figues (fig)
Confiture de Framboises d’Automne (raspberry)
Confiture de Framboises de Logan (loganberry)
Confiture de Groseilles à Maquereau (gooseberry)
Confiture de Mirabelles
Confiture de Mûres (blackberry)
Confiture de Nèfles (medlar)
Confiture de Pêche (yellow peach)
Confiture de Pêches Blanches (white peach)
Confiture de Pêches de Vignes (red peach)
Confiture de Prunes (plum)
Confiture de Prunes de Damast (damson)
Confiture de Reine Claude (greengage)
Gelée de Groseilles Blanches (white currant)
Gelée de Groseilles Rouges (red currant)
Gelée de Mûres (blackberry)
Gelée de Nèfles (medlar)
Gelée de Pommes parfumé de Coings (apple and quince)
Marmelade d’Oranges Amères (orange marmalade)

I have to confess that we bought oranges for the marmalade, it’s not warm enough here to grow oranges successfully (unfortunately!), but it’s such a lovely colour that I could not resist using it to illustrate what we make.
